When we first introduced convenience stores to Japan, 99% of people opposed the idea, saying there was no way convenience stores could succeed in this country. Yet 50 years later, 7-Eleven has gained widespread acceptance. That is how much society has changed.Times are constantly changing, and will continue to change dramatically. So even if those around you oppose what you are doing today, there is no reason to be discouraged. The things people oppose may prove valuable in the future. If everyone agrees with what you are doing now, that is not necessarily a good thing. With that in mind, I want you to stay true to yourself.
Always recognize change
and rise to the challenges it brings.
That is the only way forward.
Keep taking on new challenges.
Carry that conviction with you each and every day.
That is my hope for you.
